I was presented with my Gold Award on the 12th December, 1962 by His Royal Highness at Buckingham Palace. Sir John Hunt was in attendance with the Duke. I had previously won the Bronze & Silver Awards. I still feel proud of having achieved the Awards and especially to have met Prince Philip in the process. I am equally delighted that Prince Edward is now involved and sincerely hope the scheme continues for many years to come
