The expeditions stand out the most in my memory. It's where I learnt how resilient and determined I am. My group but especially myself were always the last to finish but finish we did. We never gave up or got disheartened. We just kept each other going.

I remember walking up a vertical forest in a heavy rain storm with thunder rumbling in the distance. I remember being chased by a cow. I remember cooking and cleaning and looking after myself for for the first time. I remember singing and chatting with friends.

Every memory of doing my Bronze, Silver and Gold DofE is precious to me even now over 20 years later. It is still one of the hardest and best things I have ever done.
