When I signed up to be a D of E participant I only did so because I saw my older sisters complete the program and the expeditions they went on looked fun. Walking in, I was quite oblivious to what the D of E really entailed, I didn't know that it would build different aspects of my character as well as my health. I've always wanted to get into a regular exercise routine and D of E has done that for me, I always make excuses when it comes to exploring my creativity through drawing and writing but D of E provides me with such opportunities. D of E also teaches me to reflect and catalog my progress which is a healthy way to measure growth. I am currently a gold award participant and I am excited to grow even more, yes I really enjoyed the Bronze level expedition, it was as fun as I predicted it to be and I am looking forward to the gold award expedition.
