My Gold DofE expedition was something I'll treasure for life. I made some really strong friendships with new friends as well as strengthening existing friendships. I have remained great friends with the people that I met on DofE, and we have all met up since our expedition last summer. Many memories were formed on our expedition however, the memory that I will never forget is how we got lost due to very poor visibility on the moors and ended up walking 40km in one day, in which we experienced horizontal hail, despite it being late August! My team and I overcame many challenges and discovered how well we could work together in order to find a solution. All the highs and lows of the expedition helped me to become the person I am today and have enabled me to push myself to the limit and discover my full potential.
