I am currently doing my silver DofE and am already enjoying exploring the depths of my musical skill further, as well as being given the opportunity to create a consistent area of focused effort on my own fitness; as encouraged by the physical section fitted in a flexible way alongside the rest of my studies. It is a brilliant way to inspire young people like myself to volunteer, as I am with energetic Beaver scouts, build life skills and participate in a wider world of other keen individuals all of which has been a constant element of my activities even though-out the pandemic. I am very much looking forward to the expeditions that we will hopefully be able to experience soon, with some great moments of laughter and I’m sure my fair share of walking in the rain!
