During my Bronze Expedition a couple of years ago, what I found most enjoyable was being around nature. Even with sore feet and an aching back after hours of walking, it was worth it to appreciate the local ecosystems, especially with my friends. The award opened me up to trying new experiences and made me more spatially aware as well as safer too. In retrospect, I can happily say those days and nights were some of my most exciting and fondest memories - getting to share them with close friends and our Kentish environment was just the cherry on top.
Thank you, Duke of Edinburgh, for providing me with skills and experiences I'll remember for the rest of my life.
Rest in Peace Prince Philip.
