So many memories thanks to the DofE, it's hard to choose. From doing Bronze and Silver at school and doing a cycling expedition on Mull, having an accident and ending up in hospital battered and bruised, but not broken, to being a supervisor, leader and co-ordinator over 4 different schools in 3 countries. Highlights include leading Silver expeditions based around Killarney in Ireland, Bronze expeditions around the Gower peninsula in South Wales, leading my first group through to Bronze awards and being so proud of them and all they overcame to get there. I owe it all to one man, my DofE Award leader at school, Mr King, who inspired me, enthused me and fostered my love and passion for the award that as soon as I was able, I started giving back as a leader myself. My biggest regret is not achieving the Gold Award myself due to years of chronic illness which caused me to miss the age window. I can't wait for my own children to take part and learn so many skills and so much about themselves on their DofE journey.
