Robert Anderson

I completed my Bronze award at school but had left before completing my Silver. I have very fond memories of the tasks I did, the expedition, volunteering with The Scouts, gaining my First aid Qualification and learning how to scuba dive. These experiences positively shaped my life’s path. I continue to volunteer with The Scouts, I renew my First Aid qualification every three years. I stopped diving but did enjoy participating in an diving expedition to Belize Barrier Reef. Today, I continue as a DofE coordinator, enjoying expeditions, but as a supervisor now. Adult volunteers very kindly allowed me to have these opportunities when I was young. I am very pleased and proud to be able ‘repay’ them by continuing their legacy by offering these experiences to today’s young generation. For me, his award scheme will be HRH, The Duke of Edinburgh immortal memory.
