I first heard about DofE back when I was a sea cadet. I never managed to complete any and it was always my biggest regret when I left. When I had my own children I wandered into a sea cadet unit once again and ended up back in uniform. It wasn't long before I was part of the Adventure training team and the DofE staff as they are my true passion. I'm very proud to be apart of the scheme and I always find it humbling and honorable to watch the young adults we train and teach grow into confident adults that feel accomplished as they achieve sometimes what seems the impossible. It was also humbling to watch my own children go through their DofE journey and see them enjoy it as much as I do and to watch them grow into amazing young confident leaders.

Thanks to DofE I have some amazing memories that I will cherish and I look forward to making many more in the years to come. DofE isn't just something I take part in, DofE is apart of me and my personal journey.
