Mrs Perdreau

My daughter completed her bronze DofE two years ago. She is the second generation to benefit from the experience. Me and my brother were also participants many moons ago. It has stretched us all, given more than just skills and volunteering experience. It has built character, it has given us resilience and confidence. It has always had that feel of prestige. My daughter's first camping trip was hard work and during the night the sheep kept bleating and she was tired and out of her comfort zone. She found her phone and decided to text me that she wanted to quit, she was done. Funny enough her phone was unable to send me the text. After falling asleep finally and waking up refreshed she reflected and decided that maybe she could carry on. She did see it through and she looks back and can see how much she can do, even when things get tough. She surprised herself and it's given her an opportunity to see her own strength.
