DofE gave me the opportunity to diversify and appreciate different aspects of life and took me out of my comfort zone and enabled me to explore and get involved in activities that I would not have ventured to do. My journey was one that developed a sense of achievement, and the challenges though in some cases was hard proved that with determination and having the correct mindset one can go about in achieving anything. Doing it with my lovely friend made the adventure journey experience one of the most memorable highlights to date. My first son completed the Silver award and my second son is near completion of his Gold award. May his legacy lives on.
