The DofE experience was engaging and rewarding from beginning to end. I took part in aerobics and learnt embroidery as well as being president of the Warwick University Rock Gospel Choir. During the expeditions I learnt specific skills such as map reading, problem solving, putting up a tent and cooking food outdoors as well as the attributes of tolerance, patience and perseverance. It is without a doubt that these attributes shaped my character and competence/confidence and were a foundation for me later gaining a PhD in education. I had lots of fun and it truly felt AMAZING to complete the final Gold expedition.... What an adventure!!!!
