I completed The Duke Of Edinburgh in 2017, me and my fellow students traveled to Clitheroe and were tasked to work as a team whilst climbing Pendle Hill. The weather was appalling but it was truly a great couple of days, pulling ourselves through mud and water but also trying to boil water for our tea was probably less enjoyable! We had our maps and compasses which were shockingly more useful than a smart phone, but the part I didn't excel at was trying to pitch a tent in an open field in the wind.

Figuring out how to work our way across fields and up hills was challenging but we still managed it, we made our way up and across a huge hill with hardly any visibility even though we may not of been in the best of moods up to our hips in mud and water.

But in all honesty it was a truly amazing experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
