I did the bronze award in 1963! It made an impression on me that I still remember well- the expedition was tough in dreadful weather, the running , jumping etc was hard - one of them was throwing a cricket ball a certain distance too! I did printing as my hobby on old fashioned presses, type setting etc - really skilled , detailed work ...I didn't do more as I was about to join the army, and they would give me plenty of that active lifestyle- but it set me off on my journey. Prince Philip took the salute at my Passing out parade at Sandhurst in 1969, so he was still in my life -Thank you Sir for a wonderful scheme.
