I signed up for DofE when I was 14 years old. I was very eager to learn new skills, and get involved in sports I had never done before. DofE gave me the opportunity to help others and learn customer service skills when I did volunteering at a charity shop. I also got the opportunity to take part in rugby as part of my physical sport section. I stayed playing rugby whilst gaining skills which allowed me to take part in the London youth games. Although Covid 19 meant we did not get to sleep the night during our exhibition, with all of the many skills learned I was determined to earn my DofE award, and continued with it locally. I had a huge amount of fun, whilst making lots of new friends. And I am so grateful that I got to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh.
