I started working to the DofE Award four years ago after volunteering as a coordinator at a high school for five years. In that time I have seen many young people achieving incredible things through their DofE programmes, weather it be overcoming the great challenges of the expedition section or discovering a new passion through the Volunteering, Physical or Skills sections. I was very fortunate to meet Prince Philip at his final DofE Gold Awards Presentation ceremony at Holyrood palace in 2017 and witness his great energy and enthusiasm he had for the young people, their journeys and achievements.
It is an honour to play a part in his great legacy by working to develop the Award in Scotland.
