The Scheme gave our group that came through to Gold a sense of purpose at an age where there were so many factors that could have led us to going astray.
Our school leader was the late great Ian King O.B.E from The Downs School in Dartford who sacrificed so much to allow us to flourish.
I worked with HRH a few times at Conference and we were proud as punch that they kept our log book in the Palace library!
Best advice was .. it’s not a race ..
All it meant was keep at your own pace and finish !!!
