The DofE Award Scheme was a key focus of my teenage years and one of the most important achievements in my lifetime. I am very proud to have achieved Bronze, Silver and Gold awards and even prouder that my children are currently working towards their Gold and Bronze awards.

The DofE Award Scheme provided focus, new opportunities, encouragement and memories which I will always treasure. The expeditions where undoubtedly the most challenging and rewarding to the Scheme. We cycled in and around Fermanagh, Cavan and Donegal, simply having the best of times!

Thank you to HRH Prince Philip for his foresight in creating the Award Scheme. Words will never convey the importance to the Award Scheme to me and many many others.
