Doing DofE has been a brilliant thing for my son, Edward. It's helped shape who he is as a person as it's given him a love of camping and expeditions, as well as making him volunteer in the local charity shop and learn how to cook. He's now in the final stages of his Gold award and I don't think he regrets for a moment any time he's spent on gaining his awards.
