One of the wettest and toughest hikes I have ever done was all worth it when I met HRH the Duke of Edinburgh to collect my gold award. Completing the challenge lead me to falling in love with the great outdoors. Now I am a globe trotting, dog walking adventurer and I will always recommend the DofE to ever young person I meet.
