Through Rangers, Girl Guides I undertook bronze and silver Duke of Edinburgh awards and would have done gold award but started nurse training so unable to do so.

Undertaking DofE boosted my confidence and encouraged leadership potential that I built on through nursing, midwifery and education settings.

Through learning new skills, volunteering with brownies and at other local children’s activities with undertaking expeditions, I was able to see anything was possible.

I feel privileged to be part of an organisation that promotes potential and possibilities of all young people who undertake the awards.
