My son won green heroes volunteer of the year 2008 and we all met the duke and st James palace myself my father and my son and collected his certificate, It was a lovely morning and it was a great honor I remember on the way going up one of the escalators at a station near the palace a very nice very smartly dressed lady behind me said how lovely I looked I must be going some where nice and I very proudly told her where I was going and she smiled congratulated us and said have a nice time , I then later that morning saw her again at the palace .I was very nervous but the duke was very pleasant and easy to talk to. A memory I will cherish for the rest of my life .
