I'd like to start by saying how much I LOVED taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. I have genuinely made memories that will last a lifetime. The expeditions both for my bronze and silver award were amazing. On my silver expedition I discovered the stunning Peak District which is now one of my favourite places to visit. Emerging from a disused railway tunnel on the Monsel Trail and feeling tiny in comparison to the stunning hills before me.

And cows .... need I say more?! On more than one occasion we were followed by curious cows! Oh my gosh they are big and intimidating! New found respect for cattle! The camp site memories of sitting outside the tent, with a hot chocolate, watching the sun set (oh yes and breathing in the aroma of cow dung!) Whenever I think back to what I have achieved I can't help but smile.

There's so much more I could recount but I'll leave it here. An amazing scheme. I would encourage everyone, if they are given the opportunity, to take part in.
