I took part in the DOfE pilot scheme way back in the late 50s Evan to this day I look back with pride at this achievement
The award was presented by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace I will never forget walking into the red and gold ball room to presented with my gold award the feeling of pride will never leave me. I made a big difference to my confidence and with out doubt helped me through later life.
