My two sons David and Robert undertook and received Bronze awards in Gillingham Kent. My youngest son Robert had minor co-ordination problems but took his award in 1982 two years after his brother David. He was proud of his achievement. I have a photograph of him and two companions before they undertaking their camping trip. I still him in my mind's eye with a big grin on his face and an big pack on his back and I have the photograph. .

Sadly I lost Robert to a Brain Tumour in May 2008.

I volunteer in the Sunrise charity bookshop in Rainham, they are preparing a window in memory of Duke of Edinburgh and I have donated my son's two certificates to be placed in the window. I hope I can take a photo of that as well. Sadly my photograph of Robert is not on my computer.
