Completing the Duke of Edinburgh Award has without a doubt shaped my life. It taught me so many skills and personal qualities which you cannot learn in a school/college environment and I have continued to use these in every aspect of daily life. Even to this day it remains one of the most talked about items on my CV and played a key part in helping me secure employment. Receiving my gold award from HRH The Duke of Edinburgh has been one of the proudest moments of my life, something which will stay with me forever. I am currently wearing my gold pin badge in memory of and to say thank you to HRH. May he RIP.
