D of E completed through 30th Notts Girls Brigade. Award gave me confidence and skills that contributed to who I am today- voluntary work at an Old Peoples home playing dominoes and with the WRVS at QMC hospital, Nottingham.

Lifetime memories made on my expeditions - one on hottest weekend of the year and another on a stormy weekend with thunder and lightning. Getting lost and encountering a bull in a field plus a rather rotund friend getting stuck on a stile! Blisters, sausages, beautiful views of the Peak District and singing “we’re on the road to nowhere “ as we trudged through muddy fields. My 14 year old is now starting his Bronze Award!
