Eleanor Trollinger

When I was 14, my family moved from the US to Chester for a year. The school systems are very different, and I missed my home and friends. I joined the DoE program at school and it made a huge difference. My friends and I played badminton, joined a community theater group, and learned how to care for animals. My favorite part was the expedition training and the camping trips. I learned skills then that I later used working at a summer camp back in the US and still use for pleasure. My year in the UK was a wonderful experience overall, but achieving my Bronze Award was a definite high point.
