Gained my Bronze Award in 1962 and still have my certificate and green backed record book. Still remember cooking that pan of beans on my camp fire during my overnight field expedition even after 58 years!
My skills pursuit was angling which was also inspired may grandfather who showed me how to build rods and prepare his secret bait additives , his original copies which i still have today.
I am still enjoying my fishing today as much as those early years with my granddad on the canal in Middlewich, Cheshire.
