Fr Tim Peacock

I was a member of the boy scouts and on 8th July 1968 l received the Duke of Edinburgh Gold award at Buckingham Palace. After working as an engineer I became a Catholic priest. I now work at a remote mission in Zimbabwe. Striving to get the Duke of Edinburgh's award encouraged me to have a love for nature and to see how I could live in a practical way, even in relatively primative and limited surroundings. I believe this has been an invaluable help to me in the the surroundings that l now find myself in. So for me I have a big thank you for what Prince Philip inspired me to do all those long years back. May his soul rest in peace in the happiness of heaven.
