My daughter was awarded her Bronze award after a year of steel determination. Emily battled threw health problems and being newly diagnosed with Epilepsy and still continued to complete her award. The Dukes ethos on your dreams being a reality hit home with her and the award really kept her positive through the many weekends of community work and volunteering whilst battling the side effects of new medication to control her seizures. Emily completed the expedition whilst having had a seizures on the way home and the leaders were incredible. Emily learnt more than anything else from this award that anything is possible if you mind to it and work hard.
