Jean Pimble

With Scouts our son Robin began the Bronze at 14 - he'd had heart surgery, had some learning difficulties - we thought he might not achieve it - but it would be good experience . Little did we know he would embrace the challenge and love every minute - (and yes, most of the expeditions were done in the pouring rain!) He later developed epilepsy, but several years on, we were proud to attend a garden party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse where he confidently received his Gold.
