Sincere condolences to the royal family.
I am the youngest of three brothers that all achieved the gold award. Much fun and experiences were had over the years doing it and our parents were very proud to go to St James Palace for James and Robin with my mum and dad (shame my mums had got run over in a road).
When I achieved my Gold I was expected to take my 80+ Nan but by surprised was invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace which is something I will never forget with two of my friends from school that did Scouting ventures. We spent a lovely afternoon in the gardens and as I remember to food was great.
