I have had the pleasure of completing my Gold Award and it was the best experience of my life. I met the most amazing people during my open expedition and viewed breathtaking landscapes.

When I went to receive my award it was surreal. To be able to overcome blisters, hunger, tiredness, sore legs and long treks, I felt powerful, respected and proud that I had completed such a challenge.

I thank Prince Philip for making such an enjoyable experience for all young people to enjoy and learn such valuable life lessons.
