My wife and I started dating on our DofE silver expedition, almost 30 years ago. We went to our Gold Award Buckingham Palace Garden party as part of our honeymoon!

Now three of our children are doing their DofE with our eldest daughter also a gold award holder. We have been married for over 25 years and have just set up an Explorer Scout unit to allow local children to start their DofE awards.

DofE has been a common thread throughout our adult lives.
