Despite being chased through the New Forest during my bronze DofeE expedition, I persisted in the silver award and learned invaluable skills along the way. My experience volunteering in an after-school creche has encouraged me to consider teaching as a possible career which, if it were not for the DofE, I might never have contemplated.
