Participating in the DofE programme was such an important part of my time in Sixth Form. I loved engaging in community work and developing my skills in music and sport. There is no doubt that the confidence I developed during the scheme played a significant part in the success I have since had in my academic and professional life. I was certainly asked to discuss my Gold Award at law school and training contract interviews, and this experience allowed me to stand out from the crowd. I have recently been promoted to a Partner at my law firm, and I am forever grateful for the school staff at Llandovery College who supported me to successfully complete my Gold Award.
