Taking part in the DofE Award not just once but twice, is a privilege that I will never stop being thankful for. By working towards and achieving both my Bronze and Silver Awards, I got to experience the joy of making a difference in my community by inspiring creativity in children through running creative arts events and a code club as well as comforting people in their times of need when their loved ones were in hospital. As a child, I had always wanted to become a Surgeon and make a difference in my community to relieve families of their pain and suffering and thanks to the opportunity given to me by HRH, I will be studying Medicine in September. The journey to studying Medicine has not always been easy, it came filled with stress and anxiety which I learnt to deal with through engaging in sports such as swimming while working towards my award. HRH Prince Philip devoted his life to public service and now, I will also spend the rest of my life helping those in need, working with families and bringing back the joy to the community. Rest In Peace, HRH.
