The Duke Of Edinburgh Award experience took me onto the waters of Loch Awe and Loch Etive in Scotland in the early 1990s. The memories I have from kayaking and exploring the countryside of Scotland have remained with me for more than 3 decades now.

The DoE award instilled a spirit of adventure in me that endures to this day. Wherever life takes me, I have continued to appreciate the beauty that nature offers and the importance of knowing how to survive whatever elements may come your way.
