There are so many good memories of me taking part in DofE but my favourites link to my expeditions. Through these I developed so many skills, both practical and personal. Without pursuing the DofE award I do not believe I would be as resilient, confident and independent as I am today.
I remember day 1 of my gold expedition, both I and another member of my team were thinking of how we could end it because it seemed like we had so many hours of walking to do. However, we persevered and managed to complete it. Even though we were so tired!

I also love how proud I made my family, especially my mum. She even called me this morning to let me know how proud she is of me for achieving the award and providing her with the opportunity to see HRH Prince Phillip in person at St. James Palace. Although there were no photos allowed, the memories of that day will remain.
