I lived in Hackney. I had never camped or done hiking before.
Was challenging but so much fun. Made great lifelong friends and memories.
Remember trudging through fields, being chased by a bull, waking up in the morning to my friends half eaten boot (by a fox), and being electrocuted by touching a curious looking fence!
Would do it all over again.
The confidence and experience gained was priceless.
Its an amazing award and I will always recommend it to younger ones.
The Late HRH Duke of Edinburgh was really blessed to have such an idea. Thank God for him.
