The DofE award means everything to me. Through this award, HRH has changed my life along with many other young peoples lives for the better. I’m eternally grateful for all the fantastic opportunities your award has given me. I’ve gone from starting my Gold award at 16, to completing it and enrolling on a young leaders award which then saw me progress onto being a regional youth ambassador. I really do believe the DofE has been the making of me and I can’t praise the award highly enough. This admirable mans selfless commitment to the award has changed my life, and me along with many other young people will forever be in debt to him for that. I will carry on promoting and encouraging young people from all backgrounds to take up the DofE so that the Duke’s legacy lives on. Rest in peace, highest amount of respect.
