I gained my Gold DofE award in 1976 and received the award from the Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace. The Award has been on my CV ever since and has stood me in good stead throughout my career. I will always be grateful to the Duke of Edinburgh. I have always admired him greatly and he will be very much missed but leaves behind a wonderful legacy.
