I’m dyslexic, so please excuse my brief answer.
The shortness of my answer certainly has no relevance on how much my DofE experience meant to me.
The experience , & opportunities Bronze Silver & Gold awards have given me have been immeasurable.
They have given me the confidence to stretch myself & go after things that I certainly wouldn’t of done before.
So what did I take away from my D of E experience , is the feeling of anything is possible.
I always joked by saying ,don’t give the dyslexic the map to read.
Yet it made me aware of the other strengths I possess.
I have fantastic memories, getting lost, a goat trying to eat me. My mother tracking me
down in the Lake District, to send me a pair of gloves ( she’s such a worrier, & a little bit crazy)My amazing friends who helped & supported me, &
the overall feeling of accomplishment .
