Freddie Hood
I am proud of doing my d of e. I worked hard. I learn gardening skills, dancing, helping people in church, outdoor activities like rock climbing, camping and canoeing the river wye. The staff really helped me. I learnt to work as a team which was good. My favourite bit was when we went down the rapids on the river wye.
I would pass this on to people- if it’s something you want to do , believe in yourself, try your best, don’t give up - stick with your team- it’s all about teamwork. Freddie

Fred has Down syndrome and when he was born I was worried about what he’d be able to achieve- as so much was based on what he couldn’t/wouldn’t be able to do. So proud of him and thankful for his school Priory, Bury st Edmunds, for believing in him and his friends and for this amazing scheme that has allowed him to do this. 32 years ago I received my gold award and now he has too! Thank you all so much- you don’t know how much this means to our Down syndrome community!
