Oyster Worldwide – Volunteer with cats in Barcelona

Help to care for rescued cats in shelters in the city of Barcelona.

 

What’s it all about?
Volunteers help to take care of the animals at the shelters. Typical jobs can involve:

– feeding the animals
– playing with the animals
– cleaning enclosures
– helping with health care, where possible

 

When?
You can take part here throughout the year for 1 – 12 weeks.

Accommodation and Food
Volunteers stay in an eco-hostel outside of the centre of Barcelona. Rooms and bathrooms are shared with other volunteers.

Two meals are provided each day. Breakfast includes fruit, cereal and toast. Lunch and dinner can involve fish, meat, vegetables, pasta, rice, stir fry, salads etc.

Free Time
In your free time you can enjoy taking an alternative tour of the city, practicing your Spanish, trying new foods and exploring the city. Don’t forget the beach too!

How much does it cost?

1 week costs £1129 and each additional week costs £425.

Project requirements

Volunteers must be 18+ to participate. The summer is very popular, so you are encouraged to book early to guarantee your space.
