The DofE can be life-changing, opening up a world of possibilities to young people across the UK. By personally tailoring each Award programme, the DofE is able to level the playing field and celebrate the achievements of young people from all backgrounds.
Last year over 287,000 young people, including more than 68,000 from marginalised backgrounds, started their DofE journey. Our DofE Insight Visits give you the chance to hear some of their extraordinary stories and see the impact on a grassroots level.
You’ll meet the dedicated volunteers who run the DofE and hear what inspires them to guide these young people through Bronze, Silver and Gold. DofE Insight Visits are run at locations across the UK to showcase some of the most unique and innovative DofE groups, demonstrating how it operates in state secondary schools, youth clubs, prisons and Young Offender Institutions.
“Diversity runs through every part of the DofE and those of us who have been fortunate to attend your events have never failed to be very moved by the experiences we hear about.”
David Gold, Director of Public Affairs and Policy, Royal Mail
