This really is one of the best experiences you can have in a canoe in the UK! 3 days of bushcraft training and preparation followed by a four-day expedition testing your skills in the wilderness of the UK’s biggest Loch.
Day 1 focuses on expeditions aims, route planning and various canoe and bushcraft masterclasses. Day 2 and 3 will put these into practice with a full day and night in the wilderness applying those fundamental bushcraft skills in the expedition environment. We’ll cover not just how to survive but how to thrive from comfortable accommodation to three course meals . Your expedition starts for real on Day 4 paddling into the wilderness, exploring abandoned castles, watching incredible wildlife and making unique memories at your remote camps.
This expedition is all about the journey and exploration not distance covered or destination. This trip is very much open to all – Whilst you need to have completed your practice in a canoe, this expedition requires no previous bushcraft or specialist knowledge. Its aim is to explore and experience the area, not cover vast distances so so an average level of fitness and a willingness to embrace wilderness travel is all that’s required.
