The programme takes our students through debating grading levels – from beginner to intermediate to advanced. They will also have the opportunity to achieve a debating grade for their CVs, akin to a music or LAMDA grade.

The Socratic Club’s renaissance learning small-group approach moves at a fast pace whilst taking in ideas from different subject fields, challenging our students and allowing them to learn to think critically and present under pressure in a debating format.

The teaching of the course is with highly qualified experienced experts in the public speaking field – with experience across the education sector and the course has been influenced by legal professionals, teachers, politicians and those in the creative arts – all worlds with public speaking and oratory at the core of their professions.

Participants can join at any stage in the term and we also offer workshops to fast-track progress. Sessions last 1h 15mins.
