Join the crew onboard Wales’ Tall Ship, 72-foot Challenge Wales for an adventurous 6 day voyage. Starting in Rhu (near Glasgow, Scotland) and finishing in Whitehaven (near the Lake District) this voyage is open to anyone aged 16 – 25 years and ideal for those wishing to complete their Gold Duke Of Edinburgh Residential.
This open access voyage will help you learn sailing skills, develop your leadership and teamwork skills, make new friends and will be fun.
No sailing experience required but you will be getting to experience everything about life onboard, from steering, sail hoisting, learning about sustainability and cooking!
Full price is £650 with an optional bursary available to bring the cost to £325. Further bursaries may also be available which can reduce the cost to £95 if eligible. You can also ‘Pay what you can afford’ and if you don’t require the full bursary you can pay what you can between the lower cost with bursary and the full amount!
Price includes all food/refreshments onboard, waterproof clothing and life jackets/safety equipment.
